Ryerson University’s Department of Architectural Science and Department of Athletics host this two week program to introduce campers to design software. Campers learn the fundamentals of 2D graphics software – including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign – through a range of creative projects. Each camper will create multiple projects that expand their digital design skills.
Note: this program teaches campers how to use industry-standard tools to create imagery and models, and thus has specific requirements for parents & guardians related to computer hardware and software. Please review these requirements carefully prior to registering.
What is a virtual camp, anyway?
A virtual camp brings all the things you love about camp – fun, learning, and community – right to your home. We all know that nothing can replace being together in person, so virtual camp is our way of making sure our families can still enjoy some of the magic of summer camp from a distance.
Digital Creativity Virtual Camp
For 3 – 5 hours / day, your creative genius will experience an engaging camp program right from their home. Campers (ages 9 – 17) are guided through the fundamentals of 2D graphic design via live video lessons from their counsellors, coupled with 1-on-1 support, group time with fellow campers, and camp-style fun & games.
Digital Creativity 1.0: Campers (ages 9-14) learn foundational skills of 2D graphics software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign through a series of engaging lessons and self-directed creative projects.

Digital Creativity 2.0: Campers (ages 15-17) learn intermediate graphic design skills through live lessons and self-directed creative projects. Additionally, all campers receive individual feedback and guidance on their personal portfolio from current Ryerson students and faculty in the Department of Architectural Science and Design.
